Modern aesthetic medicine offers many ways to effectively combat wrinkles. Minimally invasive methods for wrinkle reduction are very popular – they deliver surprising results that are sometimes in no way inferior to a facelift.
One of them is the gentle injection of hyaluronic acid or collagen into the wrinkles. The treatment method has proven itself and has been used with great success in the fight against wrinkles for years. Wrinkle filling in Turkey is suitable for people who want a younger, fresher look without a scalpel and want to compensate for a loss of volume in the face.
Hyaluronic acid, which is used for wrinkle injections, is a gel-like or liquid substance. The active ingredient is mainly produced biosynthetically through the fermentation of microorganisms. The substance obtained is largely identical to human hyaluronic acid and therefore does not usually cause allergies. The hyaluronic acid produced by biosynthesis also does not stay in the tissue permanently. Hyaluronic acid is biodegradable because it is a related active ingredient. It is gradually broken down by the body into its water and carbon dioxide components and excreted from the body naturally. For this reason, the treatment should be repeated from time to time.
Before the treatment, the doctor in Turkey will discuss with you what result you want and which wrinkles should be filled. In order to rule out side effects, the doctor must be informed in advance about illnesses or intolerances as well as about an ongoing pregnancy.
The injection is done on an outpatient basis and is often prepared with a slightly anesthetic ointment and then cooled. In this way, pain can be largely avoided during treatment. The result of the treatment is immediately visible. After about three months, there is also a strong effect on the lower elastic layers of the skin. The effect lasts about six months until the hyaluronic acid is completely broken down by the body.
Hyaluronic acid works in two ways to fight wrinkles. First, the wrinkles are filled with the volume of hyaluronic acid. The indentations are pushed up as a gel by injecting the filler and appear smoother. This effect occurs immediately after treatment. The biological function of the hydrophilic load has an additional effect. The injected hyaluron ensures that more and more moisture is bound in the tissue. The result is a gradual increase in volume, resulting in firmer and smoother skin.
In addition to these effects, hyaluronic acid would have other properties. It appears that hyaluronic acid, in combination with the mechanical injection stimulus, triggers other biological processes. The active ingredient stimulates tissue growth and promotes collagen formation. Both contribute to a lasting aesthetic improvement of the skin.
Hyaluronic acid is mainly used for superficial wrinkles such as wrinkles on the face, neck or décolleté. In higher concentrations, hyaluronic acid can also be used to treat deeper wrinkles.
Wrinkle injections with hyaluronic acid are very well tolerated. Small swellings and slight redness are only possible in the first two days, but these are not problematic and will disappear on their own.
There is a risk of bruising during a filling treatment. The application areas of a filler are relatively sensitive to bruising. There are many blood vessels around the mouth, so these are the areas where bruising can occur easily. The bruising is difficult to avoid, but it usually disappears within a few days.
One of the biggest disadvantages of fillers is that you have to deal with complications like allergic reactions or bumps after this treatment. Especially with injections of hyaluronic acid that are too superficial, you may feel them for a few days or bumps may form, but they are usually temporary.
The cost of wrinkle filling depends on what filler is used and how much of it is needed. For an ampoule of hyaluronic acid I have to reckon with costs of 250 EUR.
There are other types and compositions of fillers that are used to fill wrinkles. These fillers can serve different purposes and sometimes work differently. For this reason, no general statements can be made about which filler is “best” for which wrinkle shape. Since the patient’s skin type, age and personal wishes play an important role, it is always necessary to clarify with the doctor individually which filler or which combination of fillers should be used.
Most fillers are known to be fully or partially degraded. A clear benefit of degradable fillers is that they pose fewer risks than durable materials and are therefore now widely recommended by experts. However, there are differences in the duration of action of degradable fillers, since not all fillers degrade at the same rate or slowly.
Hyaluronic acid is a natural component of the human body and fulfills a variety of tasks there. The active ingredient is found in many types of tissue and is primarily found in the eyes, skin, joints and muscles. Hyaluronic acid is a “versatile” substance that ensures joint flexibility, moisturizes the eyes and is responsible for fluid exchange between cells. Hyaluronic acid also has an anti-inflammatory effect and promotes wound healing.
The hyaluronic acid content in our body is not the same throughout life. Natural aging processes lead to a continuous degradation of the valuable active ingredient. This gradual decline begins at the age of 25 and then progresses inexorably. At around the age of 60, only 10 percent of the original amount of hyaluronic acid is still present in the body. Connective tissue and skin lose volume and flabbiness, facial structures sink and wrinkles form.
By filling in wrinkles, hyaluronic acid gives skin volume and elasticity, giving it youthful elasticity. This is due to a very special property of the natural filler: its extraordinary ability to retain water in the tissue. It is precisely this property that makes the active ingredient so interesting for manufacturers of cosmetic and aesthetic medicines.
The therapeutic approach of injecting hyaluronic acid into wrinkles uses its moisturizing effect. The minimally invasive wrinkle treatment is an effective rejuvenation treatment for skin and tissue – it provides a new fullness and youthful freshness. It is not for nothing that hyaluronic acid is a component of many anti-wrinkle creams.
